Stella
Stratidaki
Stella Stratidaki is an architect engineer based in Heraklion, Crete. After graduating from the School of Architecture and completing postgraduate studies in sustainable design, she founded her studio in 2013 with a clear vision: to create architecture that is honest, purposeful and deeply connected to place.
Over the past twelve years she has built a body of work spanning private residences, commercial interiors and heritage renovations — all shaped by the same principles of restraint, craftsmanship and sensitivity to the Cretan landscape.
She is a registered member of the Technical Chamber of Greece and has been recognised with three architectural distinctions for excellence in residential design.

Simplicity

Honesty
We use materials truthfully, stone looks like stone, concrete like concrete. We don’t disguise structure or pretend surfaces are something they are not.

Place
Every project is rooted in its context, the Cretan light, the local stone, the landscape. Our buildings belong to where they are built, not to a style imported from elsewhere.

Craft
We work closely with skilled local craftspeople. The quality of execution is as important to us as the quality of the design, the two are inseparable.

Listening
Our best work comes from truly understanding the people who will inhabit it. We spend as much time listening as we do designing.

We design for the long term, spaces that will still feel right in thirty years, built with materials that age gracefully and details that stand up to time.

Context first
Before we draw anything, we study the land, the light, the view and the neighbourhood. The site always speaks first.

Space over surface
We are more interested in how a room feels to move through than how a wall looks in a photograph. Volume, proportion and light come before decoration.

Less, but better
Every element we include must earn its place. We resist the temptation to add, and trust that restraint produces richness.

Built to last
We specify materials that improve with age and details that will still look right in a generation. Timelessness is always the goal.
